  • Regardless of what caused the flight delay, airlines must provide passengers with special assistance, or the "right to care," as mandated by law. Vouchers are offered for food and drink requirements, communication needs, and, if necessary, travel and lodging. Purchase what you require even if the airline's service counter at the airport declines to offer you the vouchers because they are legally required to reimburse your costs (as long as they are reasonable).

If your flight was cancelled or delayed because of an "extraordinary circumstance," you will not be qualified to request flight compensation. To reimburse passengers, the airline must be held liable for the flight disruption.

Flydubai — Can I claim flight compensation with a non-EU airline?

According to the EU flight compensation regulation (EU261), air passengers’ rights are only protected when flying from a European country and/or on a European airline.

Therefore, since Flydubai is a non-EU airline, your flight must have departed from the UK or an EU country for you to be eligible for Flydubai flight compensation.

Flydubai compensation for delayed flight

In order for you to be eligible for Flydubai flight compensation, your Flydubai flight departing from the UK/EU must have been delayed by more than 3 hours.

In the event of a cancelled Flydubai flight departing from the UK/EU, you are entitled to claim flight compensation of up to £520 per passenger, a refund, or, even both, depending on the exact circumstances surrounding the cancellation.

When can I claim compensation for my cancelled Flydubai flight?

According to British and European flight compensation regulations, you can claim compensation for a cancelled Flydubai flight when departing from the UK or an EU country if the cancellation was announced less than 14 days before departure.

Can I get flight compensation if I cancel my Flydubai flight?

Flydubai missed connection flight due to delay or cancellation

You may be eligible for compensation and/or a ticket refund under UK/EU air passenger rights legislation if you booked both flights as part of the same reservation and the delay or cancellation meets the mentioned requirements.

Hoeveel Flydubai vluchtcompensatie kan ik krijgen voor een vertraagde of geannuleerde vlucht?

De hoogte van de compensatie wordt bepaald door de afstand van je vlucht:

*maar als de vertraging minder dan 4 uur was, dan kan het totaalbedrag wettelijk gezien met 50% worden verminderd.

Buitengewone omstandigheden — kan Flydubai mij compensatie weigeren?

Zelfs als je Flydubai vlucht 3 uur of meer vertraagd was of op het laatste moment werd geannuleerd, kan Flydubai in bepaalde omstandigheden weigeren vluchtcompensatie te betalen.

In gevallen waarin de verstoring werd veroorzaakt door een derde partij of door overmacht, is de luchtvaartmaatschappij niet verplicht schadevergoeding te betalen aan passagiers en daarom kunnen ze je claim afwijzen. Deze situaties, genaamd buitengewone omstandigheden kunnen zeer uiteenlopend zijn.

• Een staking, met name binnen de luchtvaartindustrie.

• Politieke omstandigheden, zoals een terroristische aanslag of algemeen veiligheidsrisico door politieke onrust.
• Natuurrampen, waaronder vulkaanuitbarstingen en orkanen.
• Een botsing tussen het vliegtuig en vogels of andere vreemde voorwerpen.
• Een zieke of lastige passagier.
• Vluchtvertragingen veroorzaakt door het luchthavenpersoneel, zoals buitengewoon lange wachtrijen bij veiligheidscontroles.

Hoe lang heb ik om mijn Flydubai compensatie / Flydubai terugbetaling te claimen?
